Food diary: day 2

BREAKFAST: Cereal and a cuppa

PACKED LUNCH: Cheese and runner bean chutney sandwich, 2 bananas, 2 apples and a slice of melon. I also bought a small pack of Maltesers (but from my ‘pocket’ money – not the food budget).

DINNER: At my parents (who very kindly provide dinner once a week most weeks!). We also had a soft boiled egg with bread and butter back at home.

  1. The runner bean chutney sounds interesting! Did you make it yourself? I’d be interested in a recipe if you have one because we have loads of runner beans and like to find something else to do apart from boil or stir fry.

    Alas, this particular batch was not home-made (at least not by me!) but Mum has a good recipe so I’ll ask her for it and pass it on. It really is good and so, so perfect with cheddar.
